The Folk’s Folly story began in 1977 with unconventional origins, as the best stories often do.Native son Humphrey Folk, Jr. was a prominent and shrewd developer, whose hard work carried him all over the country, cultivating his sincere appreciation of food and fine wine.Undaunted by a complete lack of restaurant or culinary experience, he decided to convert a quaint and intimate house into a small eatery. Due to Covid regulations and our assurance of social distancing, we have decided to incorporate, The Beauty Shop, our sister music club, Bar DKDC, our newest Back Dō Oasis Patio behind the Beauty Shop and our patio out front of the Beauty Shop. In addition to the two outdoor igloos, we also now have multiple greenhouses outside to assist in social distancing and outdoor eating even during cold or rainy weather.     We eat at Coastal Fish for special occasions and have never been disappointed. Our waiter Reese made our dining perfect. Each dish was delicious and served in a timely manner. You can’t beat the patio/sunset for ambiance!

    Where to begin…Hannah our sever was great. We ordered food to dine in and food for Togo and both parts of our order were spot on. After a mixup with my drink, the restaurant was happy to comp it and continued to provide great service. We enjoyed the salmon, the chicken, truffle mashed potatoes, glazed carrots and the cheesecake. To-go we ordered the lobster pasta, the wedge salad, collard greens, mashed potatoes, corn brûlée and carrots along with the praline dessert. We were satisfied.

    My friends and I were celebrating our 60th Deltaversary in our sorority. Our server Tim group 9 was so warm and welcoming. We were able to get the Wednesday special - short ribs of beef which melted in your mouth. The dish was perfectly seasoned. The collard greens were tasty as was the mashed sweet potatoes. The restaurant was packed but the service was quick and on point. Thanks for a wo needful celebration
