The Hillside is a charming, rustic pub situated in the historic Georgian village of Hillsborough, County Down, only 15 minutes drive from Belfast city centre. The Hillside first opened its doors to patrons in 1752 and has been enjoying a busy trade ever since thanks to our excellent food and drinks selection and our friendly, welcoming service. Set in the 'Garden Village' at Tankardstown, Brabazon Restaurant has become a true destination for diners and lives long in the memory of all who visit.     We were here lunchtime for valentine's day,staff were helpful and service was great,my wife ordered the chowder as a main and it was best ever and ceaser salad was excellent as well, waitress was good at offering to take a picture of ourselves and new baby son.

    Lovely lunch Great service Loved the sea bass Negative comment If not at a booth , the normal tables are too close! I dislike hearing every word your neighbours say plus trying to squeeze between tables is not easy!

    The simple eggs on toast was tasty. Except $5 is a bit pricey to add bacon. I would have ordered the smashed avo but it came with beetroot feta so that ruined it for me. I also got a freak shake for the first time. It was supposed to be a blue heaven thick shake but it was only a milkshake so that was a bit disappointing. Overall though it was nice and I'll probably be back.
