Gather at the Blue Pig Tavern, our distinctive restaurant tucked in the corner of Congress Hall. Known for hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites, its name derives from a gambling parlor sited in Congress Hall in the mid-1800s. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.     Excellent dining experience. We sat in the room with the fireplace and Christmas tree. The food was exceptional and the complimentary champagne was such a nice touch. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    Everything was fine and the manager Marley was outstanding she knew all the answers to all my questions. Very helpful beautiful setting good food and great service. Will be back.

    On December 28th, 2024 we had an excellent dinner at The Washington Inn. My wife had roasted wild mushroom soup, baked escargot, and the colors of the garden salad. I had 2 oysters and seafood cioppino. For dessert we shared Bananas Foster. All the food was excellent along with the service. This restaurant exudes old time Cape May quality and I am sorry we have not dined here more often. The bill came to $150 including tip.
