Montecatini is a stable for Walnut Creek as it opened October 17, 1989, the day of the Loma Prieta earthquake in California. Since then, Montecatini Ristorante has become a place for "regulars" to enjoy a true Italian dining experience. We are a loud and bustling environment where many have come to say we're like family. We hadn't been to Rooftop since before covid and were totally wowed. Of course, where else would you want to be on a warm, sunny winter day but perched atop Walnut Creek looking on Mt. Diablo and the surrounding hills. We arrived for lunch and all three of us loved our meals -- the dumpling starter was fantastic, and everyone loved their lunch (shrimp tacos, pappardelle/caesar, salmon/caesar). Our server was fantastic, the support staff attentive, the vibe was chill and the music great. Who could ask for anything more. Rooftop is now at the top of our WC dining list.
