Standing out from the crowd, our 400-seater restaurant is housed in a grand Grade II listed building featuring a distinct neoclassical Greek façade and mixes an industrial look with a touch of opulence inside. Opera Grill brings theatre on a grand scale to Chester. At the heart of our menu is the theatre charcoal grill and wood-burning ovens, inspired by revered chefs and restaurants from around the world. The entertainment continues in a first-floor Music Gallery featuring a stage set for live acts every Friday, and a mix of soulful classics performed by our gospel choir every Sunday.The distinctive spaces in Opera Grill are all available for hire for meetings, conferences and special events with bespoke menus and entertainment packages.We have limited disabled access, the 1st floor and terrace is not wheelchair accessible.

Lunch Menu - Two Courses for £35 / Three Courses for £40We are an independent restaurant in the heart of Chester offering microseasonal dining with menus designed around what's growing on our farm in Daresbury. Menus change every four to six weeks. Please note we are currently card-only and unable to accept cash. Meat / Game / Pescatarian / Vegetarian / Vegan / GF / DF- - -If your preferred time is not available please make a note on your reservation and we will try our best to accommodate you in the event of a cancellation. A new, growing-led “British Tapas” restaurant from the teams behind Chef's Table and Growing @Field 28. The menu features an inventive and daily-changing selection of vegetarian, vegan, meat, fish and game plates, each dish is crafted from Field 28's daily harvest of pesticide and biocide-free heritage produce and specialist leaf, served alongside a selection of hand-crafted cordials, cocktails and wines.     Oh my goodness we had a beautiful meal, the starters and desserts were exceptional. We chose several from the snack menu. Tempura prawns were outstanding. The mains were really good, only issue was monkfish still had water residue that sadly diluted the Thai sauce, and potatoes oil the venison dish were a tiny bit over salted. This didn’t affect our overall experience and the restaurant was very busy due to valentines night. More staff would have helped reduce waiting times and probably the tiniest faults mentioned. These were not worth mentioning at the time as staff were doing their very best. Mentioning now for management feedback. Will definitely visit again! The starters and desserts were the best we’d ever tried!! All Staff so friendly and welcoming!

    We thoroughly enjoyed the food. The dishes, small plates akin to tapas, were delicious and inventive. We particularly enjoyed the BBQ Octopus and fresh Anchovies. It was an informal and relaxed dining experience that we will certainly repeat in the future.

    Early evening meal for a family birthday celebration. Restaurant was quiet as it was early, so atmosphere low key. Excellent food and service, topped of by staff putting a birthday candle on my sons Tiramisu - a nice touch. Overall very good, a really enjoyable dinner
