On October 4th, 2022 the Dutch red windmill opened her doors to Fred & Diana. Diana is known for Diana's Pancakes, across Barcelo and before that, she was the owner of a similar pancake place next to the mill. Fred is known for his former restaurants Chef's Tables, 2 Fools and a Bull and Fred Restaurant in downtown Oranjestad.The two decided to work together and King Fred & Princess Diana was born. Diana delights guests with Dutch pancakes in the morning, while Fred takes the reins in the evening, serving a diverse range of international cuisine for dinner.On the second floor you will find our souvenir shop that can be visited anytime upon request. The third floor belongs to Frans, who is a well known bartender in the Aruban hospitality industry. He will serve you cold drinks for a reasonable price.

Next to the 'Old Mill' in Aruba you'll find a unique new restaurant, 'The Journey'. Michelin star trained chef Patrick van der Donk (Amuse Sunset restaurant) has made a very intimate chef's table concept. Credit card information will be required in order to hold reservation as well confirmation by phone.Not your usual bar seating set-up! Here you are able to dine at you own separate tables and still have a view of the chef creating your 5 1/2 course meal for a max of 20 guests per evening. Price $130 per dinner and $80 for the optional wine paring, small bar available.The evening starts at our cozy lounge with delicious hors d'oeuvres and bubbles, inside at a small and stylish set-up the chef will prepare every dish in front of his guests taking time to invite his guests over for a chat, he might even ask to help plating his dishes which gives a truly extraordinary dining experience. The people who work here are all so friendly. Guido was so sweet and filled our water glasses almost every time we took a sip. So attentive and nice.

Absolutely incredible meal experience. The quality and creativity of the menu was very elevated. The chef and staff made it very personal and relaxing. Definitely doing this again.
