République, located in Miracle Mile, is owned by Chefs Walter and Margarita Manzke. Centered in the heart of Los Angeles, the historic building in which it resides was originally erected in 1929 by Charlie Chaplin, and later transformed into the iconic La Brea Bakery and Campanile Restaurant. République builds on this storied past, offering a gastronomic environment imbued with history and grandeur.     Everything was wonderful once we got in the restaurant. We would have never made a reservation had we known the Christmas Parade was happening. What a traffic nightmare!! Now let’s get back to the food. Everyone enjoyed their meal, my wife had seafood risotto, it was delicious. My MIL had the small filet, she loved it. My FIL had the fried shrimp and was impressed. I had the bone in Ribeye and it was exceptional! Sides were asparagus, onion rings, and shoestring potatoes all were on point. The highlight for me was the escargot, simply delectable. Thanks to everyone at Musso and Frank for making my wife’s birthday dinner outstanding! Cheers until next time.

    We had a wonderful anniversary dinner! Our server, Jen was so friendly and kind. Immediately gave us complimentary Prosecco to celebrate. She reviewed the menu with us and advised us based on preferences. We had the mozzarella bi bufala, the orecchiette, raviolo, Caesar salad, and the braised beef cheek special. Everything was so delicious! Cannot wait to go back!

    First date night for us in some time. Best service we’ve had at a restaurant in some time. Everyone very kind, food delicious and coursed out perfectly. Highly recommend.

    the dishes were quite inventive and not the sort of things we encounter in san diego restaurants. the squab pasta was amazingly tasty, the branzino perfectly prepared and delicious and the broccoli with olive oil, garlic and lemon couldn't have been better. the honeycomb ice cream and cannoli were just the right ending to our wonderful meal. the wine list was also inventive and the bottle of sicilian grillo blend paired perfectly with our dishes.
