Italy's neighorhood pizzeria's are known as really casual places to hang out, meet friends, eat, drink and talk. Lil' Frankie's is just that. We offer real Neapolitan pizza, made exactly as it's made in Naples, fresh handmade pastas cooked to order, a wine and grappa list that rivals any in the city, and friendly (never pushy) service - all in a setting designed to make you feel at home. Our brick, wood burning, oven was handcrafted by a 3rd generation Neapolitan oven builder, brick by brick. It features real lava from Vesuvio and through a unique double dome design, recycles heat to reach near 900 degrees.

Supper is The Third restaurant from the Frank crew. Here Frank has taken his favorite classic dishes from all over the north of italy and coupled them with a space that reeks Old East Village charm. Wine wine and more Italian Wines than any other east village restaurant. Think lots of brick and stone low lighting and a handinstalled Florentine wood ceiling pictured in the last supper. Old Venetian glass hanging chandeliers and it's all just a setting for a whirling swirling kitchen center stage. Yeah...Veal Milanese (proper), Bolognese out the... You guessed it. OUT DA BUTT. Lavagna opened its doors on February 1st 1999.The restaurant offers casual Italian trattoria fare at moderate prices. The vibe is candlelit, cozy, with an old wood burning oven, exposed brick walls, a pressed tin ceiling and a small wine bar where one can dine also.     Great atmosphere, service, and of course, food! We had the Tom Yum seafood hotpot and the Karee Pu Noodles (curry crab noodles) and both were delicious. Can be hard getting a reservation (though luckily a 12:30 PM one opened up for us) so definitely reserve a spot in advance!

    Both our pastas (truffle ragu rigatoni and tagliatelle with mushroom) were absolutely outstanding and the tiramisu was one of the best I’ve ever had! They also served bread with olive oil that went with the meal perfectly.

    This was truly one of the best meals ever! The food was outstanding; the Crispy Rice and Lychee Martinis are a must. Service was incredible. Vibes were high. Highly recommend!

    We had a great experience at Beauty and Essex! We ordered 8 items for 5 people and had plenty of food. Highlights were apple and kale salad, tomato soup and grilled cheese dumplings, strip steak and mushroom ravioli. Service was fantastic and ambience was fabulous. Expensive but worth it!
