Located at 1319 F Street NW, Proper 21 is a high end sports bar serving All American classics with a gourmet twist. Proper 21 is the third location of NIEUW Group Inc. Like its predecessors, located in New York City, Proper 21 serves contemporary American cuisine.     Nice experience. Ambiance was very nice. I felt the tea sandwiches could be much better. You could tell they were made in advance. Very small amount of food for the $90. But I’m Glad I tried it. 👍🏼👍🏼 Fyi Wait until after thanksgiving if you want to experience the Christmas theme!

    The drinks here have leveled up as of late. We are usually just happy to come here and enjoy the views. But on our list recent trip, we were pleasantly surprised by the creative and delicious drink menu.

    Our meals and experience were EXCELLENT. My wife's meal of scallops, our guest's salmon and my shrimp/pasta (Diavalo) were WONDERFUL, as were the calamari and drinks we had before they arrived. While the entrance was a crush of people trying to check in and get seated, the atmosphere was lively and comfortable. The Hamilton is always a great experience but this was a first time for my wife and our guest to have dinner there and they loved it! Our server was good and attentive and wasn't a constant shadow to us either. A good time was had by all!

    The restaurant has a limited menu but still offers a range of choices. I had the mussels and my friend had the hamburger. Both were quite good. The chocolate/orange mousse we shared for dessert was excellent. There is a nice selection of wines by the glass, which I appreciated. The place is within easy walking distance of the National Theater, and we ate there before the show -- a perfect spot to do so.

    Our server was kind, professional and had a great knowledge of the menu. She was very quick to attend to us and make our team feel comfortable. Would recommend her and this restaurant any day to anyone.
