Chef Mario Marfia was born in Sicily, Italy and honed his craft working as a chef in the Mediterranean. He brings those culinary and cultural influences to El Paseo in Palm Desert, and the New Downtown of Palm Springs. Established in the heart of Palm Springs at the foot of the San Jacinto Mountains, Le Vallauris has been one of the highest rated restaurants in the Coachella Valley since its inception in 1973. The exquisite cuisine at Le Vallauris is prepared by Executive Chef, Jean-Paul Lair, who has graced the restaurant for over 25 years. The Historic Landmark was built in 1927 as a home for the Roberson family, who managed Palm Springs' first hotel, The Desert Inn. Many grand parties were held in the house for guests such as Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and many more. Later on, when the restaurant was established it became a favorite place for Presidents and the Hollywood elite, and local socialites.

To curate this lounge, a partnership formed between longtime Palm Springs local Noah Mamet and the owner of our 15 unique winery properties around the globe. Our decor is a modern take on the popular design of the 1950's, using clean lines, pops of color, and various textured fabrics and fixtures. To accent our wine bar, we have a custom-built clay amphora where our in-house winemaker will be fermenting and ageing a Californian rosé.     Miro's is excellent. The staff is there to greet you when you walk in. As soon as you are seated, water is offered, and a waiter soon follows to take your drink order. The drinks are plentiful and expertly crafted. The food is wonderful as I've had everything on the menu! Homemade soup as part of the meal is a must. For us, Miro's is our go-to restaurant for a nice dinner out and an amazing experience. You can't go wrong!

    We love dining here. Last night we both had the beef cheeks, which were delicious. The crispy scallops were also good. Thank you Raymond for the recommendation! I had a wonderful crème brûlée for dessert while my husband enjoyed the chocolate pots de crème. Service was excellent. Give. What other restaurants are charging these days, this place is a good value.

    Our server was amazing. Three of our party of 5 are vegetarian or vegan. Our server described how the chef could prepare a couple of different dishes to accommodate us. The food was so tasty! We will definitely return.
