The Italiano, the newest masterpiece by Chef Joey Maggiore and his team of culinary geniuses, located at 90th Street and Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale, the elevated Italian restaurant will be The Maggiore Group’s sixth concept introduced to the Valley’s award-winning dining scene.The Italiano exudes an ambiance of casual elegance, blending warmth with sophistication, while offering authentic Italian dishes that transport you to the very heart of culinary tradition in Italy. The menu will feature the flavors of old-school red sauce Italian cuisine with a Chef Joey touch. Interactive tableside experiences will include an antipasto cart where guests can curate their own plate with over 30 different items. There will also be a must-try Limoncello cocktail cart and a Zabaione dessert cart. The Italiano's lounge and bar will be open at 3pm, and reservations will begin at 5pm for main dining.

Casa Mia is the authentic Italian Cuisine experience. Our family moved to the U.S. in 1993 from Sorrento, Italy (a province of Naples). We came straight to Scottsdale so none of our palates were altered from the flavors they were familiar with. Casa Mia means "my home", and just like at home our food is made to meet our standards of taste. All of our ingredients are of the finest quality, from home made pastas, organic produce, and now organic grass fed beef.     The food at the Italiano is fabulous, proof being that even on a Monday night the restaurant and bar were incredibly busy. My only issues were one trivial one and the other I would consider substantial. Trivial would be that tonight the kitchen was out of the zucchini blossoms which was tragic because I love them! The substantial issue for me is the noise level. We were sitting at one of the very comfortable couch like tables in the bar and the noise level is so high that you have to consistently ask those across from you to repeat what they are saying, and I also felt forced to lean across the table for them to hear me clearly. That is my singular negative aissue with the Italiano. Otherwise the food is amazing, the decor and style of the entire place is lovely, and the atmosphere is wonderful. I just wish the noise level would be brought down to a more civilized to level so as to make the dining experience that much more pleasurable.

    It was our anniversary and we truly enjoyed every aspect of the experience. Jadah and her assistant in particular were a wonderful server combo. The bone in New York steak was at a great steakhouse level. Lovely evening.

    We went as a group on a Thursday night and I have to say it was really outstanding. I had the special of the fish n chips and they were wonderful. A few folks got the burgers and were very happy as well as the french dip. But, the real key that put them over the top as outstanding was our server Gracie. She was magnificent! Came back and checked on us several times, always smiling and every single detail we asked for was perfect! We all commented on the way home we couldn't remember the last time we had service this excellent! She really makes Thompson 105 a place to go to have great service and amazing food!!

    Best food in the valley with the exception of Steak 44. My wife and I have attended Casa Mia dozens of times and never had a bad meal or service! That says a lot and sets a very high standard that few restaurants can match.

    Really great food and staff was friendly. Food portions were appropriate for the price. Staff could have been a bit more attentive, but ultimately was professional and helpful. View of the nearby mountain range is incredible.
