Hochi Mama was the God Mother of all aspiring street artists and rappers in the early nineties. An immigrant in the big city, she hosted underground art shows along with rap battles for the rejects; a place where you could just be at home, but with family. The whole crew was always welcome, the more the merrier, and she was well renowned for creating innovative dishes using the original famous dishes from her home country, and plenty of booze, in her spacious and homey warehouse.This cheeky, vibrant and buzzing Vietnamese Fusion venue is one for your to-do list. Located on Spring Street near the Princess Theatre, we offer classic bistro fare with substance and character to perfectly complement our extensive collection of wines, old and new world, available to enjoy with your meal. We also welcome you on a walk-in basis next door at The City Wine Shop any day of the week, where you may simply pop in for a seat at the bar or grab a spot outside overlooking Parliament House. We take the best seasonal produce available, cooking simple, classic foods. Nose-to-tail offal dishes are centred within our menu, utilising every part of the animal products in our kitchen.     Great little find near The Princess Theatre which we had an early dinner before seeing Tina - great value $49pp menu - food was delicious and plenty of it! Staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend to try this restaurant!

    We went for the Feed Me menu after seeing a show at The Princess Theatre. Being vegan our options were limited but every plate was super delicious! The staff were engaging, friendly and helpful. Although we had a small table almost in a corner it didn't feel cramped and we hardly noticed the diners around us. Great value. Great location. Amazing food. Highly recommend

    Group of three for birthday dinner before a show at Princess theatre. Everything we had was fresh and tasty and just right. We recommend the sausage, cheese balls Greek salad, meatballs and for dessert orange filling pita and halva ice cream combo is to die for. Will recommend and go again. Only downside for me is the noise, there was felt running along the wall but the business should consider an acoustic treatment to the ceiling too.

    Loved the ambience in this restaurant, so much fun, and the staff are so attentive and warm. The food is exceptional, loved it all! Note the music and big screen projection, super fun experience alongside dinner.
