Standing high above the city on the 10th floor of the City Club Apartments, at 309 Vine Street; resurrected from the history that has stood here before our time, Shires' Rooftop is inspired by the first amusement resort in this part of the country, Shires' Garden. Though the original Shires' Gardens burned to the ground, "in a most picturesque fire," the legacy that was left behind is everlasting and an integral part of the Queen City's history. The creation of the Matinee Performance, the regal guests Shires' hosted, an unsolved murder and other noteworthy events that took place at the original Shires' Gardens, are an inspiration to our program that we look forward to sharing with you.

Taste of Belgium is a modern Belgian brasserie that fuses Belgian and American cuisines with locally sourced ingredients for both brunch and dinner. Taste of Belgium offers a carefully curated beer list featuring an unequaled selection of Belgian brews and craft cocktails to enhance every meal. In 2023, Jean-François Flechet, our founder, was honored with a knighthood by the prestigious Knighthood of the Brewer's Paddle, recognizing his dedication to Belgian brewing traditions. Our journey began in 2007 at Cincinnati's historic Findlay Market, where Jean-François introduced a traditional Liège-style waffle recipe and a 120-pound cast-iron waffle maker from Belgium. Since then, Taste of Belgium has expanded to seven full-service neighborhood brasseries across Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio.     Lunch was wonderful! So glad you are open again at lunch. Took a chance on the server-recommended pasta a limone (always get the cacio e pepe) and it was fabulous!! Friendly staff, great food & service!!

    My girlfriends and I ,instead of buying presents, go out every year for a really great dinner for Christmas. This restaurant really hits all the buttons. From melt in your mouth steak, fresh sushi and succulent lobster tails. Wait staff was excellent. Great vibe. Would definitely recommend this iconic restaurant.

    We were in town for my daughter's graduation from NKU and spent a lot of time online for a nice restaurant that would accommodate 8 people. After a long search, we were fortunate to have find Shires' Rooftop. Our table was ready as reserved (although some of our party was a tad late due to downtown parking and inclement weather). The atmosphere was perfect, the food was excellent, and our server Mara did an excellent job taking care of our needs. She checked un us at reasonable intervals without being overbearing. She anticipated our needs (that were normal for a party of 8). If were in the area again, we'll certainly dine there. I would suggest reservations if you are dining there and be aware of crowded parking in the downtown area.

    Oh sooo good! Taste of Belgium 🇧🇪 is excellent! The service was phenomenal. They did not hesitate when we asked to be seated in a different type of seating, the wait staff was always available while never hovering. The coffee, pastries and of course the waffles were simply perfect 👌🏻 Couldn’t have asked for a better brunch on graduation day!
