We don't take ourselves too seriously at Jax Fish House. Two things we do take seriously? The freshness and sustainability of our seafood. You know fresh fish when you see, smell, and taste it-and thanks to modern delivery technology, we bring in that freshy-fresh seven days a week. Sustainability is a little more complicated. Not all commercial fisheries are created equal. That's why we work closely with our suppliers and science-based organizations to ensure that every single thing we serve is responsibly sourced. We consider the stocks of the species we source to prevent overfishing and we work with suppliers who harvest in ways that have minimal impacts on marine environments.

The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they're Hapa.     Second time coming here. This is a MUST during the Holidays season as it is inside Hotel Boulderado and they have an Irish Spruce tree in the lobby and it is completely decorated for Christmas. Recommend making reservations because they are always busy OR you can sit at the bar OR just order coffee at the coffee window. We had Brunch menu- Corned beef hash (made in-house), Breakfast Burrito, OJ, cinnamon latte with oat milk and lavender latte with oat milk Great staff and fast service. Parking is challenging but you can valet if you can’t find street parking.

    Love sushi. First time here and really enjoyed it. Bert’s fresh and well prepared rolls. Not too basic and not too fancy either. Perfect. A bit pricey though.

    I enjoyed my birthday dinner at Jax , as I do every year, and it was as fabulous as always! Sheridan was our server, and she was impeccable with her care. The food ( I had the tuna , hubs had the crab cacio and peppe pasta) was outstanding, amazing wine ( we love the red and seafood pairing section of the wine list) and Jax topped off my evening with a birthday dessert ( i chose an espresso martini). There’s a reason why we go back, over and over again. Jax is simply the best Boulder has to offer!!
