From the stone and stucco walls covered in Italian pictures and art, La Vecchia captures the essence of Italian dining with European flair and culinary excellence.The menu is old world, with a strong focus on fresh, quality cuisine. Our hours of operation are Sunday- Wednesday from 5pm-10:30pm, Thursday 5pm-11pm and Friday- Saturday 5pm- 12am. We will be opening for Lunch and Brunch in the near future so stay tuned. Mamakas Taverna is an elegant 85-seat Greek taverna on Ossington Ave. Owner Thanos Tripi brings a fresh, authentic approach to Aegean food, offering classical Greek dishes against a contemporary canvas.     Great experience from the get. Sat at the bar and served by the bartender, Joe. Very personable and navigated me through the menu very well. It was quiet in the restaurant when I got there and half way through the place was packed. The pork secreto was perfect along with the shishitos. Finished the night with the basque cake which is a must. I have been following this restaurant on Instagram since 2013, it’s my first time to Toronto so I had to stop. Cannot wait to get back here!

    Excellent atmosphere. Definietly recommend. Its our second time there and again we came with our infant daughter and they were unprepared. They accommodated but only after they realized that their approach would hamper our childs safety and then they complied. Exact same thing happened the time before. Please train your staff to handle seating families with infants that will remain in their stroller basket. THe unprepared approach makes it a bit annoying.

    Outstanding Service & Food Experience! Malwina, our server was absolutely incredible. It felt like we were at a girlfriends house with her overwhelming knowledge of the food, delicious drink suggestions and hosting ability. We will definitely be back! Thank you.
