With a total of six locations across Atlantic Canada, Gahan House has become an East Coast staple dedicated to creating memorable experiences. We get our name from John Gahan, a prominent merchant and importer of wines, teas, and groceries on Prince Edward Island in the 19th century. His former place of residence is now the location of the original Gahan House in Charlottetown, P.E. To share our award-winning ales with more of Atlantic Canada, we opened our doors and our taps in Halifax, N.S., Fredericton, Saint John, and Moncton, N.B., and St. John’s, N.L.We began as a brewpub, and we stay true to our beginnings by having a brew system in-house, ensuring that the beer we serve is as fresh as possible.     The food and the service were excellent..Went here on Boxing Day for my belated Birthday celebration and our server was delightful and even subbed us a dessert writing Happy Birthday on the plate. We more or less had the place to ourselves and the music and decorations were very tasteful. Our server even recommended a frame that was set up down the hall so we could take pictures and told us to check with the Front Desk re free parking and they were able to provide us with a pass. My daughter was visiting from Toronto and enjoyed the experience enough to want to come again. We hadn't been at the Westin for a number of years so it was nice to see it renovated without taking away from the historical aesthetics.

    From start to finish our experience tonight was perfect. Server was very pleasant and attentive, food delicious and atmosphere was elegant and perfect.

    A wonderful Tibb’s Eve special menu and all the classics as well. Enjoyed a wonderful Newfoundland slush. The “Skink” was amazing.

    It was outstanding in all areas. The service was awesome from start to finish. I was a server on a ship for many years so I know what it takes to give good service. I'm also a very good cook , so when going out with my husband he is fussy, its hard to find a restaurant with good food. You aced it from the start salad we received to creme bur lee, Oh plus the wine!! Thank you for making our date night amazing!!!
