Balthazar is one of Athens finest restaurants. It is located in a neoclassical building on Tsocha street and is special not only for its beautiful interior but also for its impressive garden. Balthazar serves a Mediterranean cuisine with many Greek fusion influences since Christoforos Peskias has formed a highly creative menu. Fresh salads like green beans with smoked almonds, and a Thai lemon dressing, original dishes such as marinated fresh fish in lemongrass and basil, and the well-known meatballs with french fries and yogurt dip are the reason for a visit. Gloria Gati is the new restaurant of chef George Papakostas who jokingly refers to Gloria as the older sister of Vittoria Gati, another famous restaurant of his in Glyfada. Gloria is located in a historic building in the Athens center just 50 meters from Syntagma square. It is defined by an eclectic vintage design in a very cosy space where the pizza oven takes center stage. The bar serves award winning cocktails and over 100 wines from Greece and around the globe. The menu is Italian with a focus on homemade pasta and quality meats. The pizza is made from a 1937 sourdough and baked in a traditional oven imported from Naples. Some of the signature dishes include the steak tartare, arancini bolognese, the raviolo cacio pepe, the reginette al tartufo for truffle lovers as well as pollo francese and the ossobuco which is cooked for 12 hours. A tiramisu is a must here accompanied by a single estate espresso. Outside seating is available all year round in the courtyard of St George church

Lovely setting, warm and practical service, very good food, helpful wine steward. Beef tartar was excellent, pork and cabbage was delicious, salads were out of this world, beef with pasta was yummy but not hot. Overall, a wonderful rooftop experience with an amazing view.

Nice location on a corner . Very attentive wait staff . Souvlaki and Gyro ordered with the spinach salad … good food and great portions . Negroni was fabulous

Nice Restaurant. Excellent food. Service initially outstanding...faded over time. Didn't care for card paying procedure. No swipe or chip. Had to give card to waiter. But, still enjoyed dinner.
