Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous fried chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra. Other items, like the house-smoked beef brisket and braised pork shoulder, come straight from the state of Texas. The rest of the South is well represented as well with a Carolina pulled pork sandwich, chicken and waffles, crispy fried oysters and a pimiento cheese & sausage biscuit sandwich with a fried egg and cheddar grits.

James Beard-nominated, Chef's Prix Fixe Tasting Experience by Executive Chef Jose Camarena, recontextualizes Mexican cuisine and culture through Storytelling. We exclusively offer a prix fixe tasting menu experience, with 7-Course and a 10-Course options. Both experiences are meant to honor the complex history that created each dish, as well as leave a lasting impact on all those who taste this beautiful food and listen to our stories. República is a tasting menu-only restaurant. We offer a 7-course menu at $128 or a 10-course menu at $150 per person.     Portland City Grill is a must!! Everything about this place was amazing - the view, the food, and the service. This place is one of the best for ambiance, and they happened to have live music when I went there. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

    A perfect dinner (seated at counter) at Nostrana. Went on a Thursday - gnocchi night. I usually don’t choose gnocchi, but am now a convert - so pillowy and tender, and the clam sauce I chose was buttery, seasoned greatness. Our server was friendly, warm, and efficient and suggested an alternative wine by the glass that was from next door that was so good we bought a bottle to take home. Consistently amazing, and impressed my husband for date night.

    Super busy on Christmas... at least if your reservations were between 3:00 and 4:00. They also didn't stage the tables well. Our server told us they gave her 5 tables all at once. It was almost a half hour after being seated before she even took our drink orders. We were done with appetizers before our meal order was taken. Other than the length of time it took to be served and waiting for water to be refilled, dinner was good. Calamari and Brie were our appetizers... the cloves of garlic with the brie were spot on. One daughter had the stuffed salmon that she enjoyed. My other daughter, mom, and I had different fettuccine. Mine was salmon and wild mushrooms, and the salmon was in decent sized chunks. My boyfriend had steak, which he said was the perfect medium rare. All in all it was a wonderful meal.
