Yoshi's has served Japan's best traditional dishes to Bay Area patrons since 1972. The menu highlights artfully arranged sushi, fresh grilled seafood, classic Japanese dishes, and vegetarian fare. Delicious food that was deeply flavored and surprisingly bright (sometimes soul food can seem super heavy and overwhelming). A perfect brunch spot. I’m eager to bring others and to try their dinner menu. Chef and staff were very pleasant and professional.

Always order their delicious deviled eggs…superb! Had the Sunday Supper. Appetizer, main course and dessert for only $40. A delicious bargain! Bocanova is an Oakland treasure. We have fewer and fewer of such gleaming stars in our beleaguered city. Let’s be sure to support them!
