The Folk’s Folly story began in 1977 with unconventional origins, as the best stories often do.Native son Humphrey Folk, Jr. was a prominent and shrewd developer, whose hard work carried him all over the country, cultivating his sincere appreciation of food and fine wine.Undaunted by a complete lack of restaurant or culinary experience, he decided to convert a quaint and intimate house into a small eatery. Due to Covid regulations and our assurance of social distancing, we have decided to incorporate, The Beauty Shop, our sister music club, Bar DKDC, our newest Back Dō Oasis Patio behind the Beauty Shop and our patio out front of the Beauty Shop. In addition to the two outdoor igloos, we also now have multiple greenhouses outside to assist in social distancing and outdoor eating even during cold or rainy weather. These can be reserved via outdoor table bookings.This is one way we can keep social distancing in place and still give all of you a great experience when you come back to see us.We are looking forward to seeing all of you!     We had a delightful evening at Porch and Parlor! Blake, our server, was truly exceptional—attentive to every detail, consistently keeping our table free of dirty dishes. He was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also friendly and engaging, which added to the experience. The food was outstanding; the chicken was incredibly moist, and the sides we chose—lobster mac and cheese and loaded au gratin potatoes—were absolutely delicious. It was a perfect date night, and we can’t wait to return!

    Had dinner here with some friends. We dine here fairly regularly and last night was as usual a great experience and excellent meal. The oysters both broiled and raw were great, the chicken, sea bass, tuna, and grouper were all delicious and the cocktails were on point. Thanks for another great meal

    Eating at Flight is always a treat. The food is exceptional and the variety is always appealing. It is also our first choice for special occasions. The service is top notch and the location, in the heart of downtown, is fun.

    Fine dining at its best. The service is always outstanding, the food is always delicious, and the atmosphere is fabulous. For special occasions or just for a dinner out, Southern Social is always my first choice, even though I live over an hour’s drive away! Absolutely worth the drive for me!
