Uncle Bacala’s specializes in Italian-style seafood and other inventive dishes in its warm and cozy New Hyde Park eatery. For a tantalizing start to your meal, enjoy the mozzarella in carrozza cheese-stuffed fried country bread and the mashed potato and mozzarella croquettes, both served with marinara sauce. Some of Uncle Bacala’s house entrées include the breaded salmone in agrodolce served over eggplant in a honey garlic sauce, the beef filetto di manzo with mushrooms, roasted potatoes and spinach in gorgonzola-cognac sauce and the apricot-glazed grilled pork chop.     It was my first time there to celebrate Christmas with some girlfriends and I’ll definitely be going back. Everything was great… our server, our cocktails, our meal and even the decor! It was a warm n cozy atmosphere, the evening wasn’t rushed and the food was so good! Truly deserving of 5 stars in all categories!

    We went for my boyfriend‘s birthday. The drinks and the food were both absolutely delicious. Their pasta has an option to come in a chicken cutlet bowl, which I highly recommend. You also must get the table side, made mozzarella! They also have holiday drinks and desserts for the month of December, which was super cute. When it’s time to bring out the dessert for a birthday person they play music and bring out a bright candle, which was awesome. They also have a Instagramable backdrop by the front door, which is great! Great experience would definitely go again!

    A little piece of Tulum comes to Mineola.. Well decorated and fresh food. Guacamole and chips was excellent as well as a variety of different tacos to choose from. Will definitely go back.
