It all started in 1992, when Annette and Gerner Andresen opened the Lighthouse Café in Sausalito in its present form. The Andresens, both born in Denmark, had recently immigrated to the U.S., and along with them they brought the Scandinavian flair for simplicity, good quality and tasty food. The café has over the years become famous for its breakfast and lunch, with American classics like good old-fashioned burgers and a great selection of omelets, along with Scandinavian classics like Danish Meatballs or Norwegian Salmon.     We had a wonderful dining experience at Sushi Ran. The service the Sushi Ran team provides is excellent and with such care and sincere joy. The food was so delicious and beautifully presented. They made celebrating our daughter’s milestone birthday very special throughout and with a sweet treat to end the evening.

    We decided to stop by our fav place in Tiburon for early dinner and we were happy to find new items on the menu like the beets salad, a beautifully presented tower of goodness, healthy and light, pair with a Sauvignon Blanc and for dessert a cheesecake that was light like a cloud, very yummy and overall I didn’t feel too heavy afterwards. The restaurant was filled with happy people as usual, that’s what I love the most about this Italian place there is always a great atmosphere, I always meet interesting folks that are happy to talk and share. Can’t wait to see to be back soon.

    Exceptional experience for Thanksgiving! Prix fixe with many options. Portions were relatively large. Service was fabulous and attentive. Background music was perfect. Always a pleasure!!

    I am in a social group that meets there every week. Recently, they seem to have gotten a new chef and the food is much better than it has been for the past year so if you’ve been there in the past and you were not satisfied, please give it another try we have the best waitress in the world. Her name is Sara and we love her. She makes her experience wonderful with her love and care of us. The view is spectacular and the restaurant is lovely
