Since 2006, The LakeHouse restaurant has been the jewel of Bay Shore, NY. In the summer of 2016, owners Eileen & Matthew Connors and Jay Gut moved locations to a brand new dockside treasure. With stunning views and multiple fireplaces, comfortable seating for 100+ guests, two lounge areas, deck overlooking the Great South Bay, and both an indoor tavern room and a waterfront bar, The Lakehouse is touted by many as “one of the best restaurants on Long Island.” At night, the deck is illuminated, as is the waterfront lounge area where guests can congregate for after-dinner cocktails.     We had a 6:30 reservation and from the time we sat down to the time we left it was a great experience! We started with the calamari appetizer which was fried perfectly and the addition of cherry pepper “chips” (sliced cherry peppers lightly dredged in the calamari coating, and then fried) was a nice pop of heat. It added another layer of flavor that was unexpected, but very welcome. My wife got the Steak Frittes. The steak was cooked perfectly and fries had great flavor. I got the whole branzino and was not disappointed! The fish was cooked perfectly and the taste was phenomenal! We will definitely be returning!
