Five prominent oaks that stood in a semi-circle on the front lawn gave the estate its original name: Five Oaks. The estate has operated as a dining establishment and bar since 1961.The Oaks has become best known for the glorious wedding ceremonies and receptions held exclusively on the property. You pay for what you get and we all felt it was fabulous! Used to frequent the restaurant and for no reason we just stopped driving from North Canton. Ken Stewart’s is on the list moving forward.

Overall an excellent experience dining at Lanning's. The service was perfect - personality of the staff, timing of drinks and food, and follow up to ensure that everything was agreeable. Food quality was unbelievable. Prices are high, but align with the quality of the food, atmosphere, and service level.

The food and service was impeccable. I had not eaten there in awhile but forgot how good the food was. Our waitress was attentive but not too much. I highly recommend this restaurant.
