After meeting in the Tunisian village of Sousse, where their grandmothers were neighbours, Alexis and Alexandre decided to unite their roots around a restaurant: Mabrouk - the new Tunisian temple in the Haut Marais, with its thousand-year-old traditions from the East and its reinvention of typical and emblematic dishes. With its large sunny terrace and beautiful turquoise blue shop window, it's impossible to miss. Solo dining can feel a little odd but I was looked after by Arthur who made me feel very welcome. Chatty, friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. Good portions, well cooked and very good value. Would visit again.
