The Harbourview Grille transports guests back to the early days of The Royal, when Campbeltown was known as “the whisky capital of the world” featuring no less than 34 working distilleries along with a thriving fishing industry that had Campbeltown Harbour and The Royal Hotel bustling with businessmen, vacationers and locals alike. Great service and food again today as always. Was busy for Boxing Day but they kindly accommodated my family over two tables and staff were great!

Really lovely setting, fabulous staff, great with the younger members of our party. Food was fab, really prompt service. At Christmas time it can be difficult finding somewhere that manages to provide good food and service, the Stravaig pulls it off. Only slight criticism was the noise levels were hard for my elderly mother as there was quite a noisy party next to us. Overall 5 stars and we’d definitely return.
