In 1998, Buddy Guindon, his wife Katie, and his brother Kenny opened Katie's Seafood Market in Galveston, Texas. For more than 20 years now, Katie's Seafood Market has provided the highest quality of products available to its customers. The majority of seafood comes from local fishermen and shrimpers, including Red Snapper, Grouper, Golden Tile Fish, Flounder, Oysters, Shrimp, and Blue Crabs. A producer contacted Guindon in the hopes of doing a reality show about his family business. In 2015, the reality show 'Big Fish Texas' came to life on National Geographic. As a supporter of the local economy, In September of 2019, Buddy opened Katie’s Seafood House, next to the market. Katie’s seafood market supplies the restaurant with all fresh seafood. We reserved a table for Thanksgiving brunch and had such a great time! The staff were wonderful and the buffet met all my children’s expectations. We finished up and had the whole aquarium to ourselves to feed the sting rays! So many great memories made!

One of our most favorite places to eat and enjoy special occasions. Food is always great, staff is so friendly and helpful and they never disappoint! Music was a little loud for us, but we are old and sat at the bar. So, it was our fault, but we love that little corner booth so much:) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
