Since I was 13 years old, I've been in the restaurant industry. I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality. My family & I believe that having a successful restaurant is a simple formula - give people what they want: Good Food, Good Service and Good Value.     Needed a highly rated local Italian restaurant for a Monday evening dinner and discovered Sapori on Open Table. Food was delicious… especially the artichoke appetiser. I had the haddock special which was done perfectly. My colleague had a pasta dish and asked if it could be amended to include a protein which was accommodated without problem. Our server was extremely attentive, charming and very professional. The entire team worked well together and the energy was calm and comfortable. Everything added up to an amazing meal and dining out experience. Definitely coming back!

    My wife and I dined here for the very first time yesterday (11/23/24) along with our children in early celebration of our Wedding Anniversary. Let me first say, definitely family friendly! We had the calamari and mussels as appetizers. Then the porter house for 2 along with brussel sprouts, mushrooms, and mac and cheese. I end this by saying it was worth every penny!

    Everything that night was perfect! Steak was incredibly delicious. We were sat by the fireplace which was beautiful and cozy. Service staff were attentive and courteous, food came out fast. It was our first time to eat there and we will definitely go back. Amazing experience!

    The same 8 80s songs played the entire 2.5 hour dinner. By the end it wasn’t very pleasant to hear the same song 4 times. The vibe is cool, was very loud, the decor is beautiful and the food was good but somehow ran out of ribeye at 8pm on a Saturday.
