I made a reservation at 7pm and I had to ask 3x if our table was ready and our large party was waiting and we didn’t get seated until close to 7:25pm. I love dining here, I’ve come here twice within the last week, however this booking for my best friend’s 50th was not the best service. We had to keep asking for water, refills on drinks, and knowing who our wait staff really was. The food was AMAZING and everyone enjoyed it but the only complaint was the service.

Lexi was our server and she made our entire dinner experience amazing.

This review is for January 6th, 2025. As stated in the rating, Pappa's Steakhouse is a 5-Star restaurant...I believe it's because they earn it! Attention to every detail is apparent from the generous (and scrumptious) appetizer (Crab bisque this evening), to the chocolate-coated spoon & fresh-baked almond cookie that came with our Cappuccino. And if you've ever had the urge for a Veal Chop, this is the place to go! Finally, a five-star review wouldn't be complete without a shout-out to the pastry/dessert chef at Pappa's. Their desserts are original & creative, and even the Key Lime pie is stamped with a unique Pappa's presentation, and it is possibly the best in Houston! Celebrate a birthday, and maybe get treated to some of the best chocolate-covered strawberries you've ever had as well! Thanks to all the servers and staff for making this birthday celebration a memorable one!

Normally, if I order a tasting menu at a restaurant, I feel like I have seen all the restaurant has to offer, at least for that season. It is satisfying, but I am not looking to go back next week because I have seen it all. Yet, our tasting menu experience only made us want to go back and explore more of the regular menu. I kept looking at other tables in awe of their dishes, too. And well, who could pass on butter chicken. So dinner was perfect, and there is still much to be explored.

My husband and I went there to celebrate our anniversary. Austin was our server and was absolutely fantastic. His recommendations were spot on for both food and wine. Attentive but not intrusive, he was exactly what I would expect at a place the level of a Perry's. The overall experience was well worth the expense. Our food was amazing! I ordered the sirloin sampler flight and the A-5 Wagyu was DEVINE. I swear, each bite melted in my mouth. Unfortunately, not a place I can afford for our weekly date nights, definitely for special occasions though.
