République, located in Miracle Mile, is owned by Chefs Walter and Margarita Manzke. Centered in the heart of Los Angeles, the historic building in which it resides was originally erected in 1929 by Charlie Chaplin, and later transformed into the iconic La Brea Bakery and Campanile Restaurant. République builds on this storied past, offering a gastronomic environment imbued with history and grandeur. The space features a casual bakery, café, and bar in the front with a more formal dining area located in the rear, serving a French-inspired menu created daily by our chefs.

Each year, we travel to Oaxaca, and hand pick our ingredients, and carefully select the people we partner with.     From the beginning: The hostesses were super nice upon checking in to our reservation. Drinks & food were phenomenal! Valerie was such an amazing server! We truly had the best time! She was attentive, funny & really sweet. The manager, JR was so nice! He came by to check in& made us feel welcome! We will be coming back again for dinner OR brunch. Thank you all for making my birthday dinner special 😊

    Great food. Excellent service. We were shown to our table promptly. Our waiter notified us of the pending delivery of fresh Dover soles which we ordered immediately and gave us perfect recommendations to pair with the wine for the rest of the courses. The food was staged perfectly. Every dish was beautiful and delicious, from appetizers to dessert.
