Porthminster Kitchen serves up a refreshing, playful take on Cornish cuisine, introducing a menu of smaller plates and lighter options which combine global flavours, fresh local ingredients and creative cooking.We have stripped out much of what is unnecessary; dairy and gluten take a backseat in favour of fresh and exciting textures and flavours.Porthminster Kitchen enjoys awe-inspiring panoramic views from its location in the heart of St Ives. From your vantage point above the harbour, escape the hustle and bustle and relax on our sun-drenched terrace, or gaze out from huge windows and take in the 180° view. We are dog friendly but have limited space for our furry friends please let us know when booking to avoid disappointment.

Argoe is a casual harbourside restaurant serving the best of local Cornish produce. We focus on fish and seafood, landed here in Newlyn, and take inspiration from traditional European methods of cooking.     We go to the Porthminster cafe around times a year travelling from Paignton using the railway as a, relaxing day out and the restaurant has never disappointed. We had the set lunch menu costing £34 each. I had the Smoked baked Haddock for starters and the Turbot with Sampfire for mains whilst my Wife had Asian Crispy Beef with Hand Rolled Riccotta for Mains and we both had A Chocolate Brownie with Pink Peppercorns for Dessert. What totally, As always, Made the meal was the excellent service and the stunning views of the beach. Cant wait to rett

    WOW! WOW WOW! We have officially found our new favourite restaurant in Cornwall! My husband and I love fishing, we love catching and cooking our own fish. We always comment we feel that fish is over-fussed with and complicated when we eat it in restaurants. THANK YOU ARGOE for changing this!!! Finally a restaurant offering fresh, locally caught fish, cooked to perfection and letting the fish be the total star of the table, with some fabulous generous fish portions enjoyed with beautiful potatoes and gorgeous salad- the DREAM combo! The appetisers and small plates also absolutely gorgeous, with wonderful flavours. The fish soup was absolutely mind-blowing. We also loved the ray wing. The fish grilled on the open fire gave the most gorgeous smokey flavours. Finish off with the most beautiful desserts. Fabulous service and a fantastic setting. We whole-heartedly recommend Argoe, we will definitely be back, and thank you for restoring our faith in Cornish seafood restaurants!!!!

    Staff were so helpful as I have a few food intolerances and they were so accommodation! Have visited many times before and never had bad food or poor service!
