We set out to create the kind of establishment we'd love to find in one of the UK's most beautiful cities, one where old-fashioned hospitality is valued, food is delicious and where beautiful surroundings can be found hidden around every corner.From breakfast where we serve our unique Beforenoon Tea - the breakfast edition of afternoon tea - to lunch which includes Assembly House classics and grazing boards, we're open seven days a week. We're most famous for our themed afternoon teas which change regularly and are served from noon until last service at 3.30pm daily. As the Home of Afternoon Tea, we also serve some spectacular savoury versions of tea, including Beforenoon Tea, seafood option Afternoon Sea and our cheese-based option Afternoon Cheese. We booked at the last minute, but we're happy to find a table. The food was really good. One of us is not normally so keen on fish dishes but really enjoyed the monkfish. Service was very efficient but friendly and made us feel at home. This is clearly the best place to eat in Aldeburgh

Took my parents here for Christmas Day. The whole experience was amazing. The food was incredible and the staff were so fantastic. They made us feel so welcome.

Beautifully cooked very tasty food, welcoming staff , excellent service , crisp cold house white, roaring fire, fish so fresh it was almost swimming, tangy home made tartare sauce , juicy dressed crab, zingy roll mop herring . Completely yummy and all very reasonably priced . Perfect pre Christmas lunch !
