An understated storefront hides a coveted skyline view—just one of the many ways you could underestimate this longtime cafe on Mount Baker’s main drag. The menu, the sign—even the name—are a bit of a throwback, but current owners Guy Devillier and David Hoefer took over in 2018 and keep things attuned to today. Carbonara packs more nuance than you might expect, the slightly crackly pizza’s better than it has to be, and the bar pours lambrusco and negroni.     The view of the Seattle skyline is amazing. The restaurant ambiance is very warm and intimate. The staff is very hospitable and knowledgeable. The food items were prepared as requested and the flavor was awesome!

    What an amazing little spot in Beacon Hill! I have driven past so many times and always heard really good things but this is truely a gem! The food was amazing they waiter had great reccomendations and they genuinely seemed like they cared about our experience. It was so personable and lovely. The place was super full when we arrived as well which I am really not surprised about. So reservations are advisable!

    This is one legendary restaurant that lives up to its legend. The food is out of this world. The service is brilliant. The room with a view is spectacular and the room in the lounge is cozy. This is a go-to place for special occasions. Thank you to Jackie, Jeannie and the whole staff who greeted us and our special guest so warmly.
