Momotaro is a multi-level Japanese restaurant located in the West Loop. Led by Executive Chef Gene Kato, Momotaro has had the honor of being named Restaurant of the Year in both Chicago Magazine and Chicago Social. Under Kato’s leadership the restaurant has come to define the balance between traditional values and modern technique, blending the two in a science and art that has resulted in an authentic, innovative menu. The Izakaya is located on the subterranean level of Momotaro. The Izakaya and its shared-plates pub-inspired menu echoes the Yokocho street scene of Tokyo.     We are celebrating our anniversary and the whole experience was just as perfect! As soon as we stepped in the door the hostess came to us politely and kindly with a big smile on her face In 5 minutes we were seated and the waitress came to greet us very nicely and with a big smile as well, and the lady that poured us some wine also very nice A+ for the entire Team! A+ for the ambience! A+ for the food!

    Great food (I want to specifically call out how great the octopus is) and a great environment (especially for a casual quiet dinner catching up with old friends). This was my second time having Brian as a server, and his recommendations on new (since my last visit) food items and cocktails was great. Brian remembered me and made some suggestions based on my prior visit as well. Stellar service and I hope I get Brian as a server again in the future.

    I really enjoyed dining at girl & the goat. Their menu selections were spectacular, and they were able to accommodate those with dairy intolerance (which most restaurants are unable to do). Their food selections were great and flavorful, and their staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend the chicken or steak dishes.

    Oakville Grill and Cellar: A Perfect Night Out My experience at Oakville Grill and Cellar was nothing short of amazing. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection—I couldn’t get enough of the hamachi crudo. Every bite felt like it was made with care and top-quality ingredients. The service truly stood out. Our server was warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. They even helped us pick the perfect wine to go with our meal, which took the experience to another level. If you’re looking for a place with incredible food and service that makes you feel like a VIP, Oakville Grill and Cellar is it. I’m already planning my next visit!
