The Refectory is a stunning New American restaurant located on Lancaster Avenue in Villanova. The menu features modern and upscale interpretations of American comfort classics such as homemade pastas, wood-fired flatbreads, a raw bar, craft cocktails and specialty homemade desserts.     Our family enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving this year at the Desmonde. Everyone from my 91yo Mom to my vegan 25yo neice and all the rest of us really enjoyed the food. The price was reasonable and it was so nice this year to skip the grocery shopping, housecleaning, table setting, food prepping & cooking and especially the cleanup at my home like all the years before. We all said we would do it again.

    Met up with a longtime friend for a long overdue lunch. We chose The Refectory since it was mid way between our two homes. This was the first time each of had dined there and the experience was very enjoyable. Food, service, and atmosphere were all great. Definitely a return visit will be in the works.

    Great Oktoberfest! Chef and Manager have extensive German culinary and hospitality experience, so outstanding food selection and preparation. Curated beer (and, as usual, wine and cocktail/mocktail) options. We were regaled with flawless accordion music throughout, featuring polkas, waltzes, and German folk tunes. Please make this an annual tradition!
