wanted to try Perry's since I moved to the area in 2020 due to the reviews and menu items. I was finally able to do so on a random Tuesday. The front door is maybe broken? Not sure what's going on there. I was greeted immediately by a frantic server, older blonde woman with a squeaky high-pitched voice lol, seated right away. She was not friendly towards me, not courteous, slightly rude and passive aggressive, I did not feel welcomed by her at all. The venue is small so I could not only see but hear how she was interacting with other guests, and I was treated very differently. There was a bartender, a man, who I saw would step in when she was busy and seat guests and run food and drinks and his service was 12/10. The food, I ordered a Caesar salad to start, best Caesar salad I've had in the city. The lettuce was fresh and perfect with a mix of kale and the croutons were homemade and it was perfectly dressed. For my entree I ordered the scallops, the carrots and asparagus were cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. The dressing was great, and the parsnip puree was seasoned sooooo good. The plate only came with three scallops and 2/3 were overcooked, good size, good seer but overcooked. For dessert I had a chocolate badino, SO good, wow rich in flavor but not overpowering and the homemade whip cream and the amount you get, 14/10. My bill came to $75, not bad for myself and I only had water. I've wanted to try Perry's since I moved to the area in 2020 due to the reviews and menu items. I was finally able to do so on a random Tuesday. The front door is maybe broken? Not sure what's going on there. I was greeted immediately by a frantic server, older blonde woman with a squeaky high-pitched voice lol, seated right away. She was not friendly towards me, not courteous, slightly rude and passive aggressive, I did not feel welcomed by her at all. The venue is small so I could not only see but hear how she was interacting with other guests, and I was treated very differently. There was a bartender, a man, who I saw would step in when she was busy and seat guests and run food and drinks and his service was 12/10. The food, I ordered a Caesar salad to start, best Caesar salad I've had in the city. The lettuce was fresh and perfect with a mix of kale and the croutons were homemade and it was perfectly dressed. For my entree I ordered the scallops, the carrots and asparagus were cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. The dressing was great, and the parsnip puree was seasoned sooooo good. The plate only came with three scallops and 2/3 were overcooked, good size, good seer but overcooked. For dessert I had a chocolate badino, SO good, wow rich in flavor but not overpowering and the homemade whip cream and the amount you get, 14/10. My bill came to $75, not bad for myself and I only had water. Would I come back, probably not anytime soon due to the service and prices.
