Offering spectacular, picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean, Sierra Mar restaurant at Post Ranch Inn is a farm-driven restaurant that celebrates the coastal bounty of Big Sur and our neighboring communities. Our dishes are centered around the dialogue of balance: on the plate, between sea and land, with sustainability always in mind. Selections from our Wine Spectator Grand Award-winning wine list enhance the inspired cuisine. We have a family-style lunch experience for $75 per person. Our dinner experience is priced at $175 per person. Lunch and Dinner is available to the general public, however space is limited and reservations in advance are required. The minimum age for guests is 18 years old and pets are not allowed. Non-hotel guests will be welcomed at the gate house no more than 30 minutes prior to their reservation.

The Sur House, at Ventana Big Sur, serves cuisine in an awe-inspiring setting.     We celebrated our 21 year anniversary, they gave us personalized menus and our server was wonderful. Everything was delicious but the Chilean Sea Bass is phenomenal. You are packed in close to others and we had a fantastic time listening to the unfiltered conversations around us. A mix between Seinfeld and The Golden Girls. If you stay locally let your hotel know where you are dining and they might have an appetizer coupon for you.

    Our server Jessica was very pleasant and we enjoyed talking with her. Rodrigo was also very pleasant. We are locals and it was our first visit. It was my husband’s birthday and the complimentary dessert was very much appreciated. We will be back again for sure! Thank you, Kristin Oleksy

    Wow, wow, wow! The sunset was spectacular. The service was excellent. The food was Michelin star worthy, for sure. The prices, though very high, were well worth a very special experience. Overall, a perfect Christmas dining experience. Hoping to stay a couple of nights this summer. Thank you!
