It is our culinary mission to source the finest ingredients from regional farmers, artisan purveyors and local farms whenever possible. Here at Alter House Restaurant and Bar, sustainability is the forefront of our identity. The seasons will define our menu. Breaker Brewing Outpost, in the Sturges section of Archbald, is Breaker Brewing Company's northern satellite location open since February 2020. Our large taproom features a large horseshoe shaped bar, a high wooden cathedral ceiling and historic coal mining decor. With 12 beers on draft, we offer a rotating variety of our own unique craft beers along with cocktails crafted with PA made spirits, local wines and sodas. Make sure to try a beer flight or enjoy our Happy Hour, Tuesday through Friday, from 4-6pm. We offer a large food menu including soups, appetizers, burgers, tacos, specialty mac & cheese, flatbreads and more. We are family friendly and offer a kids menu. Our large patio is dog friendly and we even have a dog menu. We just added a large screen TV and several other TVs to keep up on the sports action.     First visit to the area and restaurant. Parking wasn’t ideal (very small lot) but we quickly found convenient on-street spaces. Table ready as soon as we arrived. Great menu options for our vegetarian family members. Everything was delicious! Quiche was light and flavorful. Black bean & sweet potato burger was excellent and very satisfying. Cobbler and crème brûlée were an amazing ending. Would definitely eat here again and recommend to anyone traveling in the area.

    The food and service was beyond our expectations. The branzino with lemon couscous and steak entrees were fabulous!! The beet salad and buratta appetizer were absolutely delicious!! Kiki, our waitress, was very friendly and accommodating. The chef sent out a sample of gelato which was wonderful! We will definitely be back.

    I've been wanting to try this place off for a while! An awesome local musician, Paul Martin, was playing and we wanted to see him so it was the perfect time to try the place out. Everything was excellent! The food, ambience, wait stuff, everything! And omg, those homemade pretzels! Words can't even describe how delicious they were! We will be back!
