The Central Station and restaurant 1e Klas is designed by famous architect Pierre Cuypers who also designed the Rijksmuseum. Amsterdam's De Compagnon is a contemporary restaurant that strives to serve its diners the freshest continental cuisine crafted with organic ingredients when possible, in its charming and relaxing eatery. The smoked salmon with chickpea puree and crème fraiche and the slow-braised pork belly with veal sweetbread and sweet ice wine vinaigrette make sumptuous starters.     Ottimo tutto anche il locale molto carino. In una città così fredda a febbraio è molto consolatorio trovare un ristorantino ITALIANO ed apprezzare ancora di più la nostra alta qualità di cibo e gusto. Molto confortevole Grazie per la cena 😌🍝🍷🏡

    Our visit to LaSantaMaria Restaurant in Amsterdam City Central was good. Service was excellent and food was served in good time. We had steak (ribeye) which was a large portion. Steak could have be a little more tender. All in all a nice evening dinner

    We were in Amsterdam for Christmas and by coincidence, so were our son and daughter-in-law! Totally uncoordinated! We chose Day's StoneGrill for our Christmas dinner. We arrived about 30 minutes before our reservation. This was no problem and we were seated immediately. Our server was very attentive and had no problem accommodating 'substitutions' for the 'set' menu. The food was excellent and the experience of 'grilling' our entree was new and fun (some reviews state that they were put off by having to prepare their own meat--" We had to work"). Sorry, but that was one of the benefits of this arrangement--prepare as you prefer. This experience and meal was out of the ordinary and VERY pleasing! Wish we had something like this in our town in the USA.
