With the same fire that burned in the culinary belly of Ancient Rome, Francesco and Valerio embarked on a dream to open a cozy, authentic Italian restaurant in New York.     This was our first time visiting and we did a horse drawn carriage ride through Central Park before our reservation since Tavern on the Green is just on the edge of the park. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays and stunningly gorgeous inside- even better than I’d imagined. The food was delicious and service was very attentive. I really could not have asked for a more perfect dinner experience for myself and my family! Thank you Tavern of the Green for such a great dining experience!

    Awesome atmosphere, great food, and the staff was fantastic. Special shout out to Khalid during tea service and Lauren at the bar who made one of the best ever holiday specialty drinks, the “Holiday Spirt”. The doorman was especially helpful while hailing a cab and assisting with our holiday shopping bags.

    Great find. Very unexpected to find such an excellent restaurant in Astoria. the menu is creative and beautifully executed. the service is gracious, and the wine list is adventurous and intriguing. A real 'gem'. Looking forward to returning.

    Food is 5 star. Service is 5 stars. Everything is appropriate for a 5 star rating … except… one thing…. When I bring a special bottle of wine in for my birthday… don’t charge me $45 for a corking fee! $10 is standard. $25 is upper tier… $45 is stupid. Seriously that’s my only complaint. I go to Christos because it is superb quality. I am fine with paying more for high quality. But $45 for a corking fee… not reasonable.
