Influenced by the coastal classics of Chef Balfour's upbringing in Galveston married with the comfort of southern cuisine, Southerleigh boasts a curated, seasonally shifting menu that reflects Chef Jeff Balfour's innovative craftsmanship. Southerleigh houses a custom-manufactured brewery designed by Portland Kettle Works and brings brewing back to Pearl offering 15 different beers on tap. Southerleigh is located at 136 East Grayson, Suite 120, on the ground floor in the historic Pearl brewhouse.

Submerse yourself in a dessert bar that will challenge your expectations by embracing acid, sweet, bitter, and savory all while extracting the nuances that truly makes them unique. Located at The Pearl, Nicosi only has only 20 seats that hug the kitchen, fostering one on one dialogue with the chefs. To best accomodate your experience, reservations are required. We are offer 2 seating times per night: 5:30 and 8:00. Chef Tavel Bristol-Joseph and Chef de Cuisine Karla Espinosa will guide an intimate journey through every dish, its ingredients, what makes it special and why it has been chosen for the evening. We offer wine and cocktail pairings or non-alcoholic beverage pairings for each course. Because Nicosi is about delighting in the present, we have a no phone/photography policy and the menu will be revealed as you dine. We are able to accommodate most dietary aversions and special requests with 24 hour notice. Please allow 90 minutes for your visit. Guests 16 and up, please.

In 2018, chef Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin, wanting to address the sparsity of Asian-American female chefs in South Texas, developed a new concept through a series of pop-up dinners called Best Quality Daughter with fellow chef Anne Ng and artist Jennifer Ling Datchuk.     Our Nicosi experience - and it is an experience, not simply a meal - was outstanding from start to finish. Each course was expertly created and lavishly presented, all accompanied by an educational overview provided by our chef. The food and drinks were stunning and innovative. There is nothing else even remotely like Nicosi in San Antonio and I truly cannot recommend them highly enough. Worth the wait to get in - and worth every cent.

    We had an excellent experience!! The service was phenomenal. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and timed perfectly. The food was incredible. Such wonderful flavors! We especially enjoyed the snapper tartare, crab toast and pork chop. I enjoyed watching the kitchen at work as well. No one seemed frazzled or hurried. Highly recommend!

    The whole experience was great. Our server was nice and attentive and the guy (forgot his name) that instructed us on making our pizzas was great and entertaining! This was a fun dining experience for us all.
