Great eclectic food selection. Poke, curry, poutine, etc, all done well.

All in all the experience was good. I miss the feel of the other part of the restaurant that is now closed. I think that if you are advertising as a steak house there could be more of a steakhouse atmosphere. With so few trendy places to go in Trail, I think this place could step up their game just a little. We will be going back and I am looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

The Velvet consistently is the best place to dine in the Rossland/Trail area when you want to have a special evening. The menu is updated seasonally, and there is sufficient variety for us to try different items every visit. Although, it's pretty hard NOT to order the sablefish every time. We try to stop in at least once a month and are always warmly greeted by the staff. Great location too, and the views up the ski hill are spectacular. Highly recommended.
