The new Hard Rock Cafe Venice is located directly behind the main tourist attraction of the city and one of the world’s most famous squares, St. Mark’s Square, which is home to the ornately decorated St. Mark’s Basilica and Doge’s Palace as well as a number of museums, shops, and cafes. Our cafe, which is located in a historic building offering 360 square meters of space, incorporates an authentic Venetian style with tasteful decor, wide windows with panoramic views of the canal, and a handmade glass chandelier hanging in the center of the restaurant and was made right here in the famous Murano glass factory. Arrive by gondola or foot to enjoy freshly prepared American and local cuisine at Hard Rock Cafe Venice. On May 13, 1931, Giuseppe Cipriani opened Harry's Bar in Venice. Over the years, Harry's Bar has become the place where writers, painters, artists, aristocrats, kings, and queens would meet. Among them were: Barbara Hutton, Katherine Hepburn, Gary Cooper, Giancarlo Menotti, Peggy Guggenheim, Orson Welles, Frank Lloyd Wright, Joe DiMaggio, Truman Capote, and Ernest Hemingway. The keys to the success of this small bar were: service, freedom, and lack of imposition.Throughout its 93-year history, Harry's Bar has witnessed the 20th century in Venice. Its importance was also recognized by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, which declared it a national reference point in 2001. No other public place in Italy had received the same award in the same century.

    I had a wonderful experience in Trattoria da Gioia, I ate really well and the waiters were kind and helpful, giving excellent advice for dinner. I will definitely return when in Venice again next February for their Carneval celebration! I had an appetizer of mixed salumi and cheese, fried fish and a desert with strawberries which I recommend.cheers

    Went for an all American Christmas dinner here while in Venice. From the appetizers of wings, spicy shrimp, and nachos then to our entrees of ribs, salmon noodle bowl, and classic burgers, we were stuffed. The portions were big that we couldn't finish our entrée. There was never ending refills coming our way as well. Our server Fabio and the rest of the staff were courteous throughout our dining experience.

    Interesting decorations where thousands of Aperol bottles on the selves give a warm orange hue in the restaurant. Staff courteous and professional. Excellent food. The Fegato (liver) alla Veneziana just as it should be. Tables a bit crowded Entrance door right next to some tables was left open be incoming/outcoming customers and an icy draft was present. Overall a memorable Christmas Eve dinner.

    Such a great recommendation and so glad I went. It is pricey but as a Christmas treat it was worth every penny!! The staff were so friendly, the food was heavenly and general feel was so welcoming.
