Chefs Rafael Lopez & Ben Hughes opened a small intimate Bistro with flavour lead and produce driven food. Local farms are visited daily to gather ingredients to create dishes with. Fine dining in a relaxed dining room. Located on Westgate High street amongst other independent shops and a short walk from the sea front. The Restaurant features in both the Michelin Guide & the Good Food Guide, and is listed in the top 100 restaurants in the UK.

A luxurious spot designed and built by Vacuum Studio featuring a highly pigmented colour palette inspired by our global travels. Lighting is low, volume can get high and the intimate booth seating is a perfect facilitator for conversation. Our menu is comprised of snacks, appetisers, larger plates and deserts made entirely in-house* and their flavour profiles are amplified with chillis, herbs and citrus being heavily inspired by Los Angeles' multiculturalism.Our restaurant is compact and cosy with no extra space to accommodate prams and large dogs - if you do need to bring your dog to dinner please ensure they are comfortable in a busy restaurant atmosphere and are happy sitting on your lap or fit comfortably under your table. We welcome children in the restaurant however we do not have highchairs or a children’s menu. We have tailored the room to provide a fun, grown-up and safe space for all our guests and team. Sète (named after the coastal town in France) is a wine bar, shop, and kitchen. Our doors opened to the wine bar in October 2022 and the restaurant and garden in July 2023. The seasonal menu focuses on modern European cooking with a heavy French influence, highlighting the best produce Kent has to offer. Wine is certainly at the heart of what we love. With an ever evolving list that highlights old world classics, accessible natural wines, female winemakers and exciting next generation vintners. We also serve a seasonally changing list of wine on tap and host private tastings.     This is an amazing find on our doorstep! It was my partners birthday today and I bought him and his dad for lunch. The service was very personal, and the staff catered for each of our needs beautifully! The food was absolutely outstanding, presented in a wonderful way. The ambience was second to none! Quiet, not rushed, and not all packed into a busy restaurant! Totally and utterly 1 million per cent all round, do not hesitate, just book! You will not be disappointed!

    My friend and I very much enjoyed our lunch. The food was hit and tasty as was the coffees. Reasonably priced with outstanding views over the bay. Polite and attentive staff nothing was too much trouble. Could have been a little warmer, was no means cold, but a a little more warmth wouldn't have been amiss.

    A really great first visit to the George and Heart - a welcoming, quirky and chilled pub with a great relaxed atmosphere, cool tiki hut style electric style and great food and drinks. Lovely service and overall a great evening - we were visiting Margate for our anniversary and staying locally but the pub has rooms too and from the look of them online we’d definitely consider staying here next time.
