Our recent visit to Balcón del Zócalo was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm, kind service that made us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable, and their attentiveness truly stood out. The highlight of our visit, without a doubt, was the breathtaking view. Overlooking the historic Zócalo, the panoramic vista of Mexico City's iconic landmarks was simply mesmerizing. Whether we were enjoying a meal or simply sipping on a drink, the view added an unforgettable touch to every moment. We spent the day exploring the historic center of the city, soaking in its rich culture and vibrant energy, and Balcón del Zócalo was the perfect way to cap off our adventure. The combination of delicious food, exceptional service, and that incredible view made it an experience we’ll cherish. We can’t wait to return and relive this amazing experience. I love this place. Located inside an old traditional Mexican house. Food is really good and you can have a good conversation with someone. Also the view of Mexico City center from the restaurant is beautifu.l.

Food is to die for, located in a landmark in the old Mexico City downtown, Plaza de Santo Domingo

I've eaten here a number of times and generally, it is a great place to enjoy an evening and sunset overlooking Santo Domingo church. This time the service was a little rushed, the music a little loud and the food just okay. I'm not sure but it seems the menu may be more limited than a year ago as well. Would I return? Probably, but with the growing number of options for rooftop dining, I don't think I'll worry about making a reservation a month ahead again in order to eat there..
