Smith's of Wapping is located on the River Thames with fantastic views of Tower Bridge and The Shard.Smith's, famous for fish, was initially established in 1958 and today offers fine dining facilities.We are now open from 12pm until 230pm for lunch and 5.30pm until 11pm (last seating time is 9pm) on Monday to Thursday. Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. We’ve long loved Canary Wharf and it's rich history of the nearby Docklands and Billingsgate Market, yet Blacklock in a glass tower never quite fit. One look at an old disused warehouse nestled cosily in the corner of Canary Wharf underneath the train tracks of the North Dock and we knew we had found home. Feel the comforting rumble of trains passing overhead conjuring memories of some of our favourite haunts underneath the bridges in NYC - a place where, with the blinds rolled down and away from prying eyes, a decadent lunch can swiftly roll into dinner.

    Impressive waiting staff, good humoured and very attentive to our needs. Food was delicious but I do feel the sirloin cut was quite small and also generally cooked under. Beautiful surroundings and a great table. Lovely family memories made thanks to The Ivy

    Staff were friendly and unobtrusive, and the food was fantastic. The carrot starter - who knew the humble carrot could taste so good. The cast iron fillet steak was so tender and full of flavour. On the pricier side, but you get what you pay for, and portion sizes were generous.

    After initially being told we had to be off our table within two hours, despite the fact that we were settling in for a long lunch, the maître d managed to move things around and we were able to retain our table, for a fantastic meal and a great afternoon. Many thanks.

    I have been to Blacklock City several times, and have never been disappointed. The food and drinks were all excellent. My favourites (in no particular order) are the pre chop bites / pork rib / Blacklock burger / sirloin / prime rib / all in / Blacklock Sundays / white chocolate cheesecake / old fashioned cocktails. Not to be consumed all at once, but if you think you can manage them all, I wish you the very best! The servers were very attentive and engaging. And even helped celebrated my birthday with a freebie. Have a birthday celebration there and you'll see!
