Kitchen in the Desert is a Caribbean and New American restaurant located just outside the Twentynine Palms entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. We pride ourselves in making high quality food from scratch using fresh ingredients and providing a comfortable environment to enjoy it in. We have a full bar plus beer and wine and are open nightly from 5 to 10pm. *Please be advised that all reservations are for outdoor seating, so please dress accordingly.

A chic and sophisticated décor provides the setting for our distinctive "world cuisine", a provocative mix of zesty influences that creates a delightful dining experience in Palm Springs, California. Plush high-backed semicircular banquettes surround our dining room and offer comfortable and private seating. The cuisine has a light, exotic feel with an emphasis on Pacific Rim specialties, from Chilean Sea Bass baked in Banana Leaves or Kahlua-Barbecued Pork Chops to all sorts of tasty tapas, salads, wood-fired pizzas, and desserts. The Coral Seas Lounge, a hip mid-century style bar is lined with sexy black leather bar-stools and is reminiscent of the upbeat lounges of old Palm Springs. It wraps around the dining room and leads outside to a lush, tropical, 2000 square foot dining patio where a variety of specialty cocktails and old-school favorites are mixed - an ideal place where friends gather and martinis are sipped under the starlit desert sky.

"Your Pleasure is Our Pleasure!" Please join us at Bar Cecil for a delightful evening. We welcome parties of 5 or fewer guests (limited space for parties of 5). Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate larger parties.We book tables for 2 hours. Last dinner orders are taken at 9 pm and we close the bar at 10 pm. We've gone cashless and happily accept credit and debit cards.Due to our small size, tables with separate reservations can not be combined. Please reserve online; if OpenTable is not showing availability, we're fully booked or it is more than 14 days out. We accept reservations up to 30 days out.     The service, food and ambiance of Kitchen in the Desert was incredible. The drinks were interesting, the Jerk Chicken was the most authentic I’ve since I was last at The Old Donkey Cart in the hills just above Scarborough, Tobago. We had a number of vegetarians and one vegan in our party and they were blown away by the variety and quality of the dishes. We ordered seven small plates plus a side of delicious plantains, plus dessert, and left completely sated. Best restaurant experience we had here on our seven day family holiday. Highly recommend to anyone who wants more than the typical bar and barbecue food found in this area.

    Really pleased with our experience - great food, fun atmosphere, attentive service. Had a wonderful time and would definitely return when we are in the area again (traveled from the East Coast and this restaurant was one of the reasons for the trip!).

    The whole dining experience was beautiful. The patio lights, holiday decorations, server and live music was perfect. Our dinners which included Rib Eye special Was fabulous and so well presented. I would definitely make this my #1 place to go for special occasions.
