UCD Library​附近的餐廳

This was my 3rd time in Hawksmoor, previous 2 times were on early bird. This time I came for Byob Monday with 3 pals. My request for a particular table (the sommelier’s favourite apparently!) was seamlessly accommodated even though it wasn’t initially available. The offer to decant the wine (a modest €23 bottle) and flash chill the white was readily accepted. This is one of my favourite dining rooms in Dublin, along with Fire in the Mansion House. I might not come here solely for the food but coupled with the overall surroundings and the excellent staff it’s a winner for me. A particular shout out to our engaging waitress from Turkey and our Paul M lookalike!

The restaurant had a wonderful ambiance with tasteful decor and soft, subtle lighting that was easy on the eyes. The service was excellent, the waiting staff were attentive, friendly, and checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed while giving us time to enjoy the meal. We ordered a duck dish that was absolutely delicious. I do not usually order duck, but this was the best duck I've had. It was tender and packed full of flavour. he dish really made the evening memorable. Overall, it was a very nice experience. I went for a date, and we both enjoyed ourselves at this fine establishment. I would definitely recommend it, especially for a special occasion or date night.

Food was excellent and good value but the service was very slow. Drinks took ages to come and when it came to paying the bill, trying to get someone’s attention was difficult and when they left the bill we had to keep trying to get someone’s attention so we could pay.
