Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous fried chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra. Other items, like the house-smoked beef brisket and braised pork shoulder, come straight from the state of Texas. Excellent service for our table of 17 during the busy holiday season. The drinks and food were fantastic, as usual. Jake's does an outstanding job of handling all-size parties. We appreciate the restaurant ambiance and attitude of the employees. We will be back next year for our holiday dinner and in between for lunches.

We had a table for two in the bar we were served by Jake, who is an amazing waiter. The food was excellent. My sales rep from Seattle said it’s the best meal of his life. I would say that’s a 10.

Blair went above and beyond to ensure my mom had a wonderful Birthday and time!! She was an amazing server and we all loved her!! Blair has the sweetest personality and we will be asking for every time we come to Portland City Grill!!!
