Opened in 2017. Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees.     I had the portobello tacos and made them vegan. They were delicious. The table side guacamole was unreal, so flavourful! And the service was very attentive and friendly. I would absolutely go back.

    When we arrived (for a birthday) we were originally sat at the lounge side which was a bit frustrating since I had made the reso weeks in advance. After asking the waitress to be moved to the dining side of the restaurant the entire night went off without a hitch. They quickly found us a better table and service was amazing. Quick, friendly and polite. There is a coat check service which is very handy in the winter season and the managerial staff are extraordinary, popping in to each table to see how things are going. Food and drinks were also amazing and the ambience had a great vibe without being too loud. Really enjoyed our evening at Daphne and we will be back. The service alone makes it a must visit for a luxury dining experience.

    One of my favourite restaurants in the city to go to catch up with friends. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the food exceptional and the service is typically impeccable. Our appetizer order got missed today, but they more than made up for it, with a complimentary appetizer to take home and an absolutely delicious dessert. Would not hesitate to go back or recommend. We were there 3.5 hours and we're never rushed.
